Germany Scholarship – Application via the Research Information System (from 2026)

Important information!

Please note that you will need a VPN connection to log in and submit your application via the research information system if you are outside the university network (eduroam). If you have any questions, please contact ITM in Magdeburg (https://itm-md.h2.de) or Stendal (https://itm-sdl.h2.de).

After submitting your application, please keep an eye on your system notifications, which will be sent to your university email address (@h2.stud.de). These will inform you of any status changes.

Login

You can easily log in with your university account at https://fis.h2-intern.de/stipendium/login/. You can also find the link on the Germany Scholarship website in the Research section (click the „Apply here“ button on the right-hand side).

Select department

After logging in, please select your department and, if applicable, the sub-department in which you are enrolled, and confirm your selection by clicking the “Affiliate” button below.

Create application

Now select the “Add new” option in the “Scholarship” tab at the top and fill out the form. The items marked with * are mandatory. Please upload your application documents as a single PDF file.

You can save your entries at any time by clicking the “Save” button and continue editing them later by selecting the “Scholarship list” option in the Scholarship tab.

To submit your application, please select the “Review” option. Please note that you can only submit one application per application period. Therefore, please check carefully that all your details are correct.

You can also save your application for your records by selecting the “PDF” button in the top right-hand corner.

After submitting your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation to your university email address. You will also receive status updates at this address throughout the application and review process.

Important! Please keep an eye on your email inbox after the submission deadline.

If you are selected for a Germany Scholarship by the selection committee, you will receive a notification with a link to your application, where you will need to provide further information as soon as possible.
